Ah Cody,

I am no anti-geek. In fact I am very fond of geeks. I am married to one and in junior high I had a crush on Data from Star Trek: TNG. You can't get much geekier than that. One could say I have an affinity for geeks.

I won't respond to all of your allegations of incorrectness-because I know I'm right. However, I will make a few comments. There were oodles of cords at the BLAN. What they were all for and what they went to I know not. It seems like geeks just bring lots of useless cords to LAN parties to make themselves look geekier in front of their geeky buddies. The more worthless cords you have the higher your geek status I guess because I swear half the cords at a typical LAN aren't really used for anything or plugged in.

And as for the catatonic state-I think the picture of you in my post says it all. You are completely unaware of your surroundings and of the fact that I was taking a picture.

And by the way wearing deodorant for one night does not make up for a lifetime of generally bad hygiene. So, although the rule at BLANs may be that all participants must put on deodorant before attending, that does not mean they won't stink. And I don't think all LAN geeks got that "shower and deodorant required" memo. Besides, I said the basement smelled of geek sweat not geek BO. Geek BO is a million times worse! If it stunk of geek BO I probably would have succumbed to the geek reek death and never made it out of the basement alive!
