So what kid hasn’t at some time seriously considered the possibility that their parents are actually robots? That their real parents where murdered in their beds and replaced with cheap knockoffs that seem to have everyone fooled but yourself? That the only way to determine such a fact is to sneak in their room and open up their insides to proove that it’s just wires and gears that make them run. Who hasn’t, as a kid, been terrified of finding thier parents plugged into the walls instead of asleep in thier beds? I know I have. And as a new parent let me say that there is a time or two when I’m worried when Vinny decides to cut me open and view my insides, checking for wires or gears.

GeoCaching… can there possibly be a more fun use of one’s GPS? Well short of being able to find your hotel when out of state, discovering a great Tia restaurant, or just making the right turn when trying to find GameBoard Revelotions. GeoCaching, if you don’t already know, is when one puts in GPS coordinates into one’s GPS and then hunts down small little containers. Why bother? For the thrill of finding such a thing (as GPS’s only really get you about 5-10 feet within the range) Signing a log, checking off another find, reaching that illustrious goal of 5000 caches found.
So we went down to Loa for the 4th of July and got a couple of GeoCaches in as well, and let me state that finding a cache in the wilderness is about 300 times easier then those urban caches, especially urban caches involving sticky pokey evergreen/spruce’s ahh how I hate those. We left Friday morning at the crack of 10.

As some of you know, I’m a bit obsessed with the undead. I love thinking about them in the same way Robert Hamburger loves thinking about Ninja’s, it’s about that bad. Who knows what it is about zombies that gets my juices flowing, my heart pumping, and my brain thinking about ways to protect ones family against the eventual onslaught of said zombies. Heck, I love zombies so much I have two different board games about them, I love just so many different Movies about zombies and could go on and on about them. Whats the point of all this?

This last Saturday, which also was the last day of May as well, we (the family) participated in the event known nationally as “Strutt Your Mutt” a 1.5K walk of one’s dog that helps raise money for unsheltered animals. Things like finding homes for said animals or sheltering them until a home can be found.
The event consisted of us walking our dog abouts Sugarhouse Park. And let me tell you, there where dogs. There where a lot of people there with a lot of different dogs here’s and theres and everywheres. Our dog Baue (or however one spells Bo) was so very much excited to be in the company of that many different fellow canines. There was that one radio station… you know the one that doesn’t really play much good stuff any more. The DJ was around livening up the place and trying mightily to get licked by the pooches. Most where a bit to timid to do anything.
